Oliver Tree's representatives moved quickly to honor his final requests following his tragic passing earlier this month, officially establishing "Dr. Oliver Tree's Extremely Epic Art Grant for Baby Geniuses". The touching update was shared this past Friday via a post on his verified Instagram page. The statement detailed that the late artist "was on a mission to bring the world together through art and inspiring other artists to create," which motivated the creation of the 'Baby Geniuses' non-profit.

According to the charity's new website, the foundation will distribute financial grants to chosen applicants to help them develop projects across various mediums, including music, film, installations, and performance art. The site also notes that any funded work "should reflect the spirit of the work Oliver Tree created in collaboration with the foundation’s board members during his lifetime".

Just months prior to his passing, Oliver made his philanthropic plans explicitly clear during an appearance on the "Zach Sang Show". He stated that his fortune would be dedicated entirely to backing fellow artists, ensuring his future family wouldn't simply inherit his wealth. "I’ll get my kids through college, that’s the agreement, but there’s not gonna be a silver spoon," he explained, adding, "All the money is going to go back to artists".

Tragically, the 32-year-old visionary and five other individuals lost their lives in a fatal helicopter collision in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, earlier in June. The recent announcement regarding his foundation also shared details for an upcoming celebration of his life and memorial service. The event is scheduled to take place on July 25th at the UCSC Quarry Amphitheater in Santa Cruz, California, and will also be broadcast via live stream for fans around the world.
