ICE Agent Arrested After Shocking Video Shows Him Pull Gun on Teen
A man, reported to be an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, has been cuffed by police for allegedly pulling a gun on a 17-year-old teenager.
Video of the November 10 confrontation, first aired by local station KTLA 5, captures the man walking up to an SUV on a dark road, his weapon out and aimed right at the window.
“Freeze, police,” the man is heard shouting in the clip. “Put the car in f---ing park. Get out of the car. Turn it off, get out. You’re speeding in the f---ing neighborhood. Come over here, sit down, get your a-- down. You have a driver’s license?”
Authorities in Riverside, southern California, later named the suspect as 45-year-old Gerardo Rodriguez. Rodriguez, who lives on that same street, also allegedly flashed a badge at the teen while ordering him from the vehicle.
The teenager reportedly did everything Rodriguez demanded and was eventually let go to his parents. Officials now say Rodriguez has been booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, child endangerment, and assault by a public officer.

Local lawyer Greg Kirakosian is handling the family's case. “In the moment, I think [the boy] was just scared for his life,” Kirakosian told the station. “By the time our client’s parents showed up, the neighbors had essentially come to the rescue and stopped him from doing what he was doing, calming him down, and forcing him to go back inside his house, and leaving the boy alone.”
Kirakosian also noted that when the boy's parents heard what was happening, they raced to the scene carrying his passport, afraid the incident was connected to a broader immigration sweep in the area.
“I think right now [there are] a lot of Mexican Americans, whether they are in a situation like this or not, who are angry and scared, and this just really came close to home for them,” he stated.
The attorney stated his belief that Rodriguez feels empowered by his alleged job as an ICE agent, pointing to a recent string of reported brutality during operations by immigration officers nationwide. He even cited an incident last week where a one-year-old baby was reportedly pepper-sprayed from a moving vehicle.
“It’s gotten so bad where he thinks he can now turn his own block into his personal ICE checkpoint,” Kirakosian said. “I don’t know how much worse the situation is going to get, honestly. This kid could’ve been shot.”
