Gossip personality Tasha K has consented to pay Cardi B a five-figure sum of $60,000 following a breach of a previously established non-disparagement settlement. The violation involved public online commentary regarding the Grammy-winning rapper’s personal life and romantic relationships.

Officially entered into the court docket on Tuesday, June 30, the newly obtained agreement puts an end to the contempt of court proceedings. These legal actions originate from Cardi B’s massive $4 million defamation victory against the blogger back in 2022. Last year, Tasha K (whose legal name is Latasha Kebe) entered a bankruptcy agreement designed to postpone the collection of that heavy judgment, under the strict condition that she cease making any further derogatory remarks about Cardi B or her relatives.

However, Tasha violated those strict terms through a series of recent social media broadcasts and radio show appearances. During these segments, she discussed Cardi B’s estranged husband, rapper Offset, as well as NFL star Stefon Diggs, who is the father of Cardi’s youngest child. As a result of this breach, a judge mandated that Tasha must cover the legal expenses Cardi incurred while enforcing the agreement's compliance—a staggering bill that Cardi’s legal team stated exceeded $110,000.

Under the terms of Tuesday's resolution, Cardi B has agreed to reduce that penalty to nearly half, settling on $60,000, provided that the blogger adheres to a prompt payment schedule. Tasha is obligated to transfer $30,000 to the rapper within the next month, with the remaining balance due by the end of the year.

To ensure compliance, the blogger's husband and their affiliated business entities have personally guaranteed the debt. Should Tasha default on this new payment plan, Cardi retains the immediate right to pursue the original, full penalty of $110,000.

According to the joint court filing, both parties opted for this compromise “to avoid the expense, delay and uncertainty of further litigation” regarding the specific amount of the court sanctions. Had the dispute continued, legal fees for both sides would have only continued to mount.

It is important to note that while this agreement successfully resolves the immediate contempt of court charge, it does not erase the other sprawling legal battles still active between the two figures. Tasha K still owes the original $4 million defamation judgment. Additionally, Cardi B is currently pursuing a separate lawsuit against Tasha's husband, accusing him of intentionally shielding their marital assets to prevent collection.

Representatives for Cardi B declined to offer a statement when approached on Wednesday, July 1. Similarly, legal counsel for Tasha K did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the latest settlement.

The fierce legal feud dates back to 2022, when a federal jury found Tasha K liable for defaming the hip-hop superstar. The blogger was heavily penalized for publishing severe and unsubstantiated claims involving alleged drug use, sexually transmitted diseases, and prostitution. Claiming an inability to pay the multi-million dollar verdict, Tasha filed for bankruptcy in 2023.

During those bankruptcy proceedings, Tasha attempted to have her massive debt to Cardi discharged, but a federal judge outright denied the request, ensuring the $4 million judgment would stand. Following that ruling, the two parties struck a repayment plan where Tasha would pay $1.2 million over a five-year period, deferring the remaining balance, all in exchange for her absolute silence regarding Cardi B.
